At Indiana Giant Maine Coons, we are a small, dedicated Maine Coon cattery near Indianapolis, Indiana, raising healthy, well-socialized kittens from carefully selected European and giant-type lines. As a TICA- and CFA-registered cattery, we place a strong emphasis on responsible breeding, long-term health, correct conformation, sound movement, and stable temperament. Our kittens are raised in our home with daily care, handling, socialization, and close attention to each kitten’s individual development.

Maine Coons are known for their impressive size, but true quality comes from balance, strong bone, proper proportions, steady growth, and overall condition. Our goal is to produce beautiful, large-framed Maine Coons while prioritizing the health, confidence, and temperament that make them exceptional family companions.

What health care do your Maine Coon kittens receive?

The health and well-being of our kittens are at the heart of everything we do. Each Maine Coon kitten is raised with attentive daily care and receives appropriate veterinary care before going home, including veterinary examinations, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, and microchipping.

Our breeding cats are also carefully selected and undergo health screening as part of our responsible breeding program. Our goal is to give every kitten the healthiest possible start while closely monitoring their growth, development, temperament, and overall well-being from birth until they leave for their new home.

Where is Indiana Giant Maine Coons located?

Indiana Giant Maine Coons is located approximately 15 minutes southeast of Indianapolis, Indiana. Our cats and kittens are raised in our home, where we can provide them with attentive daily care, socialization, and a comfortable family environment.

Can I visit your Maine Coon cattery or meet the parents and kittens?

For the health, safety, and security of our cats, kittens, and home, Indiana Giant Maine Coons operates as a closed cattery prior to reservation. We do not offer general cattery visits or in-home visits before a specific kitten has been reserved.

Once you have reserved a specific Maine Coon kitten, we are happy to welcome you for a scheduled visit when your kitten is approximately 8–10 weeks old and has received their first vaccination. This gives you an opportunity to spend time with your kitten, see how they are developing, and begin building that connection before they come home.

We also provide regular photos and updates, offer a 24/7 live cattery stream, and are happy to arrange FaceTime or video calls with families who have reserved a specific kitten.

All visits are scheduled in advance so we can maintain a calm, healthy environment for our cats and kittens.

How does the waitlist and litter reservation process work?

Once your application and required video call have been completed and approved, you will be added to our general waitlist. There is no deposit required to join or remain on the general waitlist.

When we are ready to accept reservations for a specific litter, everyone on the general waitlist will be notified by email in advance. The email will include the date and time reservations will officially open, along with details about the upcoming litter.

Once reservations open, available spots are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. To keep the process fair for everyone, only responses received after the announced opening time will be considered.

Families who successfully secure an available reservation spot will be contacted promptly and required to submit a $100 litter reservation deposit to confirm their place for that specific litter.

Being on the general waitlist does not guarantee a kitten or reservation spot. It ensures that every approved family receives advance notice and the same opportunity to respond when litter reservations become available.

How big will my Maine Coon kitten get?

Maine Coons are a naturally large, slow-maturing breed, but adult size can vary considerably from one cat to another.

Genetics, sex, bone structure, nutrition, overall health, and individual development all play a role in a kitten’s eventual size. We carefully select for strong structure, substantial bone, healthy growth, and overall balance, but we do not breed for extreme size at the expense of health or temperament.

While we can discuss the size, structure, and growth patterns seen within a kitten’s pedigree, no responsible breeder can guarantee an exact adult weight or final size.

Our focus is on raising healthy, well-balanced Maine Coons with the structure, temperament, and presence the breed is known for.

We could not have picked a better breeder to get our new family member from.   They were amazing to work with. The process was so easy and you can tell they care for their kittens and the parents. Cyrus is such an amazing part of our family. He’s literally like a dog, but he’s so big and majestic already. I wish I could buy ten more kitties from them, maybe one day!  One thing I really like about them is that they message here and there asking how Cyrus is doing. That shows they truly do love and care for these cats. Such a wonderful couple. So very thankful for them and for giving us the bestest boy ever.

From the moment I found this cattery I was instantly put at ease after the hardest year of my life losing my lifelong partner of a cat, a beautiful 22 year old Russian Blue. My entire household was changed when we lost him. Ever since I was a child I’ve always dreamed of having a Mainecoon cat. With great pride and intent I put aside money with my husband to secure my chance of a happy house again! We got “Blue” now named Odin from the spring 2024 litter! Bianca and Apollo have truly made some beautiful and smart kittens. Odin has been an absolute example of excellent health and temperament! This cat goes to work with me once a week and for every holiday I work. He’s incredibly mindful of people who are having a hard time. My intentions with him were therapy animal and for cat shows. So far we haven’t attended any cat shows, however he has helped countless people who come in and out of the shop. Not to mention every time someone near him is exhibiting body language of being uncomfortable or upset he is like a magnet that will come and remove all your worries. He’s an absolute showstopper at the vet and every store we go to! This cattery kept all my worries at ease, from a health guarantee to the daily photos and video calls. Having direct contact whenever I need any help or have any questions is 10/10 service! The new addition of the live kitten camera has been pinnacle! Since the installment of the camera I’ve included my coworkers and several regulars at the shop in watching Bianca and the kittens!
